The North Dakota Domestic and Sexual Violence Coalition is hosting this Certified FETI® training. Travel, lodging, and other logistics are not facilitated by Certified FETI.

How can I enroll into this training event?
You can enroll into this event by purchasing the Accelerated FETI (In-person) course. Once purchased you can select this event (or another of your choosing) on your dashboard. Are there any prerequisites for this training event?
No, there are no prerequisites for this training event.
Does this course certify me in FETI?
No, this course does not certify you as a Certified FETI Practitioner (CFP). This course is to learn and practice the FETI Methodology. You do receive a certificate of completion for the Accelerated FETI course if you are present for all instruction and complete all required coursework and exercises. To be certified as a FETI Practitioner (Basic, Intermediate or Advanced) you must participate in a separate process were you are evaluated to assess your proficiency and skill level utilizing the FETI Methodology.
What certificate do I receive after this course?
Each person who successfully completes the Accelerated FETI course (is present for all instruction and completes all required coursework and exercises) receives a Certificate of Course Completion that outlines the course date and number of course hours.
Am I required to be present for all course instruction?
If you would like to receive a Certificate of Course Completion you will need to be present for all of the course instruction. This course begins promptly at 9:00 am each day and concludes at 5:00 pm. This includes the final day of training. We are unable to make exceptions for individual travel needs or professional obligations as the course curriculum cannot be tailored to specific individuals.
Is there food and beverage provided at this training?
Certified FETI does not provide food or beverages at their training courses. There are multiple breaks and a minimum of one hour allotted for lunch each day of training. Individual host agencies may choose to provide some catering but as that is not facilitated via Certified FETI we are unable to guarantee this offering. Attendees are not limited from bringing food and beverage items unless it is specifically noted in the Event Overview section.
I can no longer attend and the cancellation window has passed. Can a colleague go in my place?
Absolutely. We are happy to facilitate your registration being moved to an alternate person.
Does this course have a dress code?
There is no required dress code for the Accelerated FETI course. We encourage attendees to follow their organizational or professional requirements.
Is the course content appropriate for all audiences?
The Accelerated FETI course is available for registration to any person over the age of 18. The content and discussion in this course will necessarily engage topics including high-stress and trauma. This course is intended for a professional audience, specifically for those who intend to interview persons about highly stressful or traumatic experiences. Due to the nature of the course it is not possible to provide a content warning prior to each example that may be given. Please be aware, some may find the content emotionally and intellectually challenging to engage with. Persons who are unable to be present during discussions or examples involving sexual assault, death or significant physical or emotional harm should not attend.
About the Course
The Accelerated FETI® course provides attendees with an accelerated overview of the FETI Methodology delivered through live, in-person instruction and facilitated group practice throughout both days. All instruction is delivered by an Advanced Certified FETI Interviewer with significant experience both utilizing and teaching the FETI Methodology.
This course provides instruction on the official FETI Framework™, detailing how to correctly conduct a Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview. Focus will be on demonstrating how to utilize FETI in a variety of routine situations where information is being gathered such as initial interviews, phone interviews and virtual interviews. Attendees will be provided with the essential elements of a FETI interview, so they are able to immediately apply the knowledge from the training to their professional work.
Attendees who are new to the FETI Methodology or have yet to attend a Certified FETI training course, will find this accelerated training to be an efficient way to learn how to add this skill to their professional abilities. This course provides the perfect foundation for those wanting to participate in more intensive, one-on-one, interview practice at a Practical Application of FETI® course.
Event Reminders
- No Prerequisite to attend this training.
- Attendees must be present for the entire training, complete all written coursework and fully participate in all exercises and discussion to continue in the course and receive a certificate of completion.
- The event will be from 9-5pm each day and attendees that miss any portion of the event will not receive a certificate of completion.
- All cancellations must be submitted online through our website more than 21 days before the course begins.
