FAQs
Which Type of Training Is Right for Me?
Different people have different learning styles and preferences. Our goal is to provide options that meet your needs and make FETI as accessible as possible. Many individuals choose to combine both online and in-person training. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss your options.
Why Is Practical Application of FETI Important?
As an analogy, if FETI were teaching golf instead of interviewing, Introduction to FETI is where participants would learn all the necessary technical information about clubs, posture, grip, swing, and wind resistance.
Just life golf, however, FETI is an active skill, and the difference between a classroom experience and a real-world situation can be significant. Practical Application of FETI is where participants actually tee up and start hitting some balls — all under the supervision of a qualified instructor who provides feedback. This allows you to take the information you learned during the Introduction to FETI course for a “test drive” in a training environment that was developed to provide you with opportunities to hear feedback during the classroom sessions from Advanced FETI Instructors.
Is Certification Mandatory?
No, certification is not mandatory.
Certified FETI has a broad range of applications in law enforcement, government, education, support services, social work, as well as in personal interactions and daily life. Everyone is welcome to learn “how to FETI” and participants are not required to work toward or earn certification as part of their training.
The purpose of certification is to provide evaluation metrics for those organizations who seek public accountability and transparency.
